As an HR Summer Student in People & Culture (P & C), you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers. What you'll be doing:
  • Provide administrative support for a variety of P & C processes including updating employee records, processing employee change forms, tuition reimbursement, grievances, etc.
  • Greet and re-direct visitors to the People & Culture office
  • Monitor P & C general email inbox and respond to questions or redirect in a timely manner
  • Create and maintain P & C employee files and sort/file department records and documents (i.e. legal invoices, other)
  • Maintain and order supplies, schedule/coordinate meetings, process invoices
  • Work collaboratively within the P & C team, providing support to the Sr. HR Consultants and Director
What we're looking for:
  • Undergraduate degree completed or in progress, completed course work in Human Resources would be an asset but is not required
  • Previous experience in an administrative/coordinator role would be an asset
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook; comfortable learning new applications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills coupled with the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Exceptional customer service skills and work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (oral, written, listening) skills
  • Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and/or CHRP in progress would be an asset but is not required
