Reporting to the Regional Manager (RM), the Branch Manager (BM) is responsible for the financial success of the branch by meeting financial and operational targets. The BM is accountable for successfully achieving objectives related to customer service, human resource management and operational effectiveness with a focus on consistently delivering superior client experience. The BM is also responsible for ensuring a high level of employee engagement and capability, providing direction to branch team members in a manner consistent with the overall strategy of developing a client centric sales culture.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial
- Good understanding of financial reports and be able to quickly identify positive/negative business trends and determine root causes to issues.
- Accountable for branch sales, expenses, bottom line, and inventory management against budget.
Sales/Business Development
- Support marketing and sales initiatives through effective execution and delivery.
- Monitor local market trends and provide the RM with local market intelligence to assist with sales plans.
- In conjunction with the RM, liaise as business development representative through market outreach within local communities to achieve sales and product targets.
Branch Management
- Accountable for inventory management, ensuring levels are within prescribed guidelines.
- Respond to and effectively manage customer complaints.
- Demonstrate effective leadership by empowering performance, giving constructive one on one coaching, and building a team atmosphere through positive interactions and effective goal setting.
- Action oriented, achieves results by capitalizing on opportunities and leveraging experiences and knowledge of others.
- Ensure branch staff are knowledgeable on all CCE products and services. Coach staff on how to deliver an exceptional client experience.
- Lead and oversee branch activities and motivate and encourage the team to work collaboratively to achieve branch and individual objectives, while always acting in the best interest of our clients.
- Remain up to date on CCE products, services, operational and risk policies, and procedures.
- Expense management.
Human Resources
- Recruit hire and train employees to achieve branch objectives.
- Responsible for effective staff scheduling and payroll submissions.
- Conduct performance appraisals and compensation reviews partnered with Human Resources.
- Identify training needs for employees and develop a plan to close any gaps that may occur.
- Partner with Human Resources to address corrective and disciplinary actions, staffing needs, recruitment, and training needs.
- Committed to continuous learning and development (both personal and of the team) and capitalize on all relevant training and development opportunities.
RISK RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adherence to risk management, legislative compliance and antimoney laundering processes and procedures.
- Annual participation in AML and Risk Training.
- Promote a "culture" of compliance within the branch.
- Ensure all employees complete the required AML/AFT compliance training and transact within said guidelines.
- Effectively handle straight forward compliance questions, escalating more complex questions/situations to compliance when necessary.
- Reporting instances of noncompliance within the branch network to the RM.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or work experience equivalent
- 1 year in a management role or equivalent role
- 2 years cash handling experience minimum
- Demonstrates a leadership style that is effective in coaching, developing, retaining, and motivating a team.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Developed sales skills to set sales goals from overall plan and targets. Ability to measure and monitor sales targets and coach others on engaging client interaction.
- Previous experience in a related financial services environment.
- Skilled in numerical literacy.
- Confident, selfstarter, proactive, computer literate.
- A high level of energy with a result driven attitude.
