Position Overview:


The Condition Monitoring Analyst (CMA) role is to support the customer by maximizing product availability, lowering owning & operating costs, and assist in the sales effort by conveying our differentiated product support offering to our customers.


The CMA take a proactive maintenance approach by utilizing the latest technologies and available equipment data to provide recommendations that allow our customers to optimize their fleet management.

Our monitoring software allows multiple data sources (fluid analysis, inspections, repair history, equipment data, digital inspections) to be analyzed and interpreted by a team of CMA's.

Based on knowledge and experience, the CMA will interpret the information, create a recommendation and assign a priority level before sharing the recommendation with the key stake holder and customers.


Remote equipment monitoring is an evolving technology across the petroleum industry and other condition monitoring team member are partnering with our customers in innovative ways to improve Finning's ability to improve mechanical availability and equipment total cost of ownership.

This position is a great opportunity for experienced technicians with an aptitude for technology.

Job Description:

  • Review and interpret condition management data to diagnose failure modes
  • Effectively communicate equipment condition to customers/Finning personal to initiate preventive action
  • Follow up on previous recommendation to ensure problem resolution and identify learning opportunities
  • Assist with and develop Diagnostic Guidelines and detailed steps
  • Provide recommendation at fleet level to reduce our customer operational cost and improve operator behavior when possible

  • Specific Skills:
  • Ability to understanding the equipment overall and the functionality of each component group.
  • Ability to read & understand the technical data sources available.
  • Ability to filter and correlate the different data source in order to create an accurate recommendation.
  • Ability to constantly prioritize situation & emergency
  • Strategic thinking coupled with multiangle approach to complex situation.
  • Customer service focus with great ability to effectively communicate in English. (written/verbal)
  • Strong Analytical Skills (problem solving).
  • Selfmotivated and detail oriented; work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Working knowledge of engines is a minimum, power generation and/or gas compression.
  • Understanding effective inspection process, equipment lifecycle planning
  • Knowledge of Fluid Analysis interpretation
  • Manage the failure risk versus down time.
  • To create and manage recommendations that improve product support loyalty.

  • Provide health fleet reports to convey value provided.
