Supply Chain Analyst

As Urus's Supply Chain Analyst, dedicated to optimizing operations, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting procurement, logistics, and warehousing. Through data analysis, trend spotting, and leveraging technology for enhanced supply chain visibility, this role is critical to Supply Chains strategic goals. You will help drive efficiency by actively documenting processes while consistently reporting key metrics to stakeholders. To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years professional working experience in an Analyst role supporting a Supply Chain function. You must also live in the Canadian Province of Alberta (this role will require in-office presence in our Balzac location).

Data Analysis and Decision Support

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of historical and real-time supply chain data
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support informed strategic decision-making
  • Utilize statistical models and data visualization tools to present findings
  • Develop real-time dashboards for stakeholders

Process Optimization and Efficiency Enhancement

  • Propose and implement process improvements across procurement, logistics, and warehousing
  • Conduct spot process audits to identify bottlenecks and areas for streamlining
  • Collaborate with operational teams to implement efficiency improvements
  • Identify and leverage automation opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve lead times and responsiveness
  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary
  • Support when required with analytics to assist with negotiating and terms with suppliers

Technology Utilization and Supply Chain Visibility

  • Identify and implement advanced technology solutions for supply chain optimization
  • Leverage data analytics tools to enhance visibility into supply chain processes
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate technology solutions

Risk Management and Continuous Improvement

  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and workflows
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for risk reduction

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional working Analyst experience supporting a Supply Chain function/team
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and international)
  • Beneficial: Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP)
  • Proficiency in utilizing supply chain systems, data analysis tools, such as a TMS, WMS, MiniTab, Power BI, Qlikview and ERP (JDE)
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in building relationships and providing excellent customer service
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and adapt to changes in the dynamic environment
  • Skillful interpretation and application of relevant laws, regulations, and policies in the context of supply chain operations
