Working as a member of the Finance team, the Production Scheduler is responsible for balancing customer needs with production capacity and inventory.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule workflow for each manufacturing sequence to meet sales forecasts and/or customer orders
  • Establish the sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping requirements
  • Lead meetings to set production priorities and make adjustments to meet customers' changing needs
  • Confer with production supervisors to determine labour needs to meet schedule demands
  • Coordinate, monitor and control the movement of raw materials and stock
  • Analyze data to determine inventory trends; develop forecasts
  • Compile various inventory reports and maintain data

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in Inventory Management, Production Planning and Scheduling in a manufacturing environment
  • Relevant postsecondary education is an asset
  • Knowledge of complex manufacturing processes is an asset
  • Intermediate Computer skills
  • Intermediate English (verbal & written)
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
