As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled Third-Party Vendor Management Specialist to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our vendor relationships.

Job Description:

As a partner management specialist – Operational Partners, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our relationships with external Operational partners (OPs) and those of our clients. You will play a key role in managing OPs performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and mitigating risks associated with third-party relationships.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive vendor management framework for Operational Mission Critical Partners, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Identifying and evaluating potential Operational Partners based on their capabilities, reputation, and alignment with company objectives.
  • Negotiating contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with OPs to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitoring partners performance against SLAs and key performance indicators (KPIs), and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Conducting regular partners assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Managing Partners relationships and serving as the primary point of contact for escalations and issue resolution.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including finance, risk/compliance, operations, and procurement teams, to address vendor-related issues and mitigate risks.
  • Keeping up with industry trends and best practices in vendor management and making recommendations for process improvements.
  • Assist senior management in developing and monitoring cost savings initiatives pertinent to these partners, and expense budgets.
  • Ensure uploads/links/notifications and related data sets are maintained and kept current.
  • Identify and implement improvements to operational aspects within Third Party Distribution.
  • Work well under pressure with tight deadlines to deliver superior service to our clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in vendor management, procurement, or contract management within the financial services industry. Experience managing operational partners in the cards issuance space highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to third-party risk management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a demanding environment.
  • Proficient with MS Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), BI Tools, and vendor management tools (e.g., Archer, Coupa, Dun & BradStreet, OneTrust)
  • Certification in vendor management (e.g., Certified Third Party Risk Professional) is a plus.
