Position Summary

Duties

  • Planning, implementing, reviewing and coordinating all aspects of data collection and source documentation, as per UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines.
  • Communicates effectively and routinely with the team; including weekly research meetings and daily updates on tasks and projects.
  • Collaborates with the team, presents research results at local and departmental research meetings; and acts as an expert resource to study team members.
  • Creates and prepares submissions to Research Ethics Boards; obtains signatures, maintains study documents and REB renewals.

Qualifications:

  • Community College diploma in a health related discipline or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) months of related work experience
  • Experience working with databases, excel, word, powerpoint, and file maker pro
  • Familiarity with protocol development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organization, prioritization skills, good computer skills, ability to learn quickly and work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to UHN standards
  • Proficiency with multitasking
  • Enjoys patient interaction and is client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand.
