Job SummaryRoles and Responsibilities**:
- Inspect material or product for visual or surface defects such as cracks, pits and damaged finish, incomplete welds, structural flaws and hardness.
- Verify specified dimensions of product or material with precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and special gauges.
- Make acceptance/rejection decisions, referring questionable cases to supervisor.
- Identify and separate rejected parts, products or assemblies, interpret test results and work with production to assure that corrective action is taken on defective items.
- Maintain records and complete inspection reports and nonconformance reports as required.
- Visually inspect and verify equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Verify third party reports for conformance and accuracy.
- Input/extract information to/from SAP.
- Focused on continuous improvement in all areas.
- Ensures safe working practices and adheres to procedures.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience reading blueprints and using precise measurement devices preferred.
- Good understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and API Q
- Forklift and overheard crane operation certification preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- WHMIS, Emergency First Aid.
