Quality Control Inspector

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to enhance our operations at Curtiss-Wright. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in conducting various inspections, assessments, and tests to ensure product quality within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with standard practices and procedures in machining is essential, as the role relies on expertise and judgment to meet objectives, perform diverse tasks, and manage the acceptance, rejection, and rework of items through our Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct dimensional inspections of machined components, castings, and both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Review material test reports to verify compliance with company standards.
  • Perform initial and in-process inspections of machined parts at the machining center.
  • Utilize a range of precision measurement tools, including vernier calipers, OD/ID micrometers, depth gauges, and GO/NOGO gauges, with proficiency.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a similar inspection role within a manufacturing or machine shop setting.
  • Experience with machining and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Technical or trade school accreditation is advantageous.
  • Experience in valve manufacturing is a plus.
