We are looking for a senior leader to join us as VP Finance and Administration at our HQ in beautiful Pitt Meadows, B.C, a suburb of Metro Vancouver.

Responsible for all long-range financial matters and establishing company-wide financial and administrative objectives, policies, programs, and practices. Supporting and promoting profitable goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the CEO and joining the leadership team, participate in all management meetings and activities including strategy sessions, planning, and budgeting.
  • Provide leadership for a team of accountants, analysts and other professionals, in addition to collaborating across the Company.
  • Oversee the Company's fiscal activities, including budgeting, reporting, banking, filing taxes, working with external auditors, and standardizing internal financial procedures.
  • Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct performance appraisals.
  • Lead the financial planning and analysis function, providing insight and guidance to senior management on financial performance.
  • Oversee legal and regulatory compliance. Assure legal and regulatory documents are filed, monitor compliance with laws and regulations, track changes and commitments to customers, and enforce internal policies.
  • Review and sign legal documents on behalf of the company such as NDAs and contracts, collaborating with the CEO and other members of the leadership team as needed.
  • Represent the Company in dealings with our bankers, suppliers, legal advisers, customers, and others as required.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • CPA designation.
  • Experience in a leadership position with a proven ability to inspire, delegate and create trust.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial and legal best practices and requirements with a proven ability to provide sound and ethical financial counsel to the leadership team.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
