Job Description:

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Act as a strategic consultant and work with operations to positively impact the business in areas of Human Resources and Safety
  • Communicate with employees, and support with employee engagement initiatives
  • Assist Operations with Human Resources related worksite investigations
  • Liaise with HR Manager to provide guidance on Employee matters (e.g., investigation results, issues of constructive counselling, discipline, provincial/federal guidelines)
  • Contribute to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members by overseeing the safety program, including conducting safety walks, toolbox talks etc.
  • Effectively assist with incident investigation
  • Assist and participate in training for safety
  • Oversee Return to work, modified duties and injury management processes
  • Recruitment and selection of frontline positions
  • Facilitate training and onboarding of frontline positions
  • Assist in the administration and support of HR programs
  • Maintain HR and other records
  • Ensure compliance with Sodexo policies and procedures and Federal, Provincial and Local laws regarding human resources
  • Other office related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • University Degree or College diploma or combination of Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Human Resources and/or Health and Safety
  • Experience in a multisite operation an asset
  • CHRP designation is an asset
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or service provider environment is an asset
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Able to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands
  • Ability to develop new and maintain existing relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
