We are technical experts in land, energy, and transportation development delivering accurate, innovative, and agile solutions to our partners. We provide land acquisition, geospatial mapping, data management, web-based GIS, community relations, land feasibility studies, and permitting services.

Canacre's clients include developers, large scale service providers, and government entities that are involved in the planning and development of energy projects, rights of way, resources, and infrastructure across Canada and the United States.

Canacre works on large-scale wind and solar power projects, high-voltage transmission lines, pipeline projects, municipal roads projects, and groupings of cellular towers and rooftop antennas.

Your role will be to:

  • Develop, implement and maintain HR programs and policies including recruitment, performance management, learning & development, policies & procedures, benefits, health and wellness, mentorship and rewards & recognition programs.
  • Support the full cycle recruitment and selection process including working collaboratively with managers to screen applicants, conduct interviews and participate in the selection process.
  • Communicate and interpret human resources policies, regulatory compliance, procedures and programs to employees.
  • Administer salary and benefit programs for Canada and the US.
  • Advise management on employee relation issues.
  • Conduct research for policies, training, strategic planning and other human resource initiatives.
  • Conduct research and implement directives to maintain legislative compliance within CA and the US.
  • Administer new hire salaries, promotions and out of cycle salary increases.
  • Clarify roles and accountability through the development of job descriptions to improve individual, departmental and organizational capability.
  • Monitor, track and resolve payroll issues in collaboration with Payroll.
  • Liaise with Payroll to facilitate payroll administration and adherence to legislation.
  • Facilitate and process Workers Compensation claims.
  • Manage and facilitate mentorship program.
  • Cochair health and safety committee.

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal regulations.
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and data management skills.
  • Excellent technical ability within HRIS systems and Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Resultsoriented, with the ability to complete assignments on time and manage multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Strong attention to detail while being able to perceive and analyze problems, develop alternatives and implement solutions.
  • CHRP/CHRL designation is considered an asset.
