Food Service Supervisor

The following responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervising and co-ordinating activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitization, and safety procedures
  • Ensure food service and quality control
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Prepare food summaries for chef; prepare and establish work schedules
  • Supervising and checking deliveries of food trolleys

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one to less than two years' experience in a related position
  • Minimum Secondary School Diploma
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines and pay keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing to take initiative and possess leadership qualities to supervise and train other food service associates
  • Must be comfortable with standing, walking or sitting or extended periods of time

Salary:
$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Newmarket, ON L3Y 0G3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

  • English (preferred)
