In support of achieving excellence and business results through safe, reliable operations, our Information Technology department is currently hiring for a Station Technology Manager, Information Technology.


The Station Technology Manager, Information Technology will ensure that technology systems are available to support and drive value in our Stations.

Working closely with station leadership and staff while interacting with all of IT, they will continually look for and oversee delivery of IT services and opportunities where technology can drive safety and efficiencies in the stations.


This is a permanent, full-time position which offers a competitive benefits, compensation and pension package and is located on site in Tiverton, Ontario.

What will you be responsible for?- Interfacing with other business leaders both inside and outside of IT and with a focus on our Stations, in delivering the work program, dealing with opportunities and issues that arise between work groups- Leading a team to ensure the technology services and solutions are delivered as required and as committed for our Stations- Developing and communicating future plans/goals to all staff- Making recommendations on strategy, policies, compliance, and communications- Providing direction and helps develop and manage the work program of the IT sections, ensuring work to support plant needs is planned and scheduled, and priorities are understood- Monitoring performance and initiating any actions necessary to correct any adverse trends

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for developing trusted relationships with key station staff and be able to identify and drive technology opportunities that deliver business value.
  • Manage relations with key partners providing Managed Task services to deliver the capabilities of the section
  • Manage the financial aspects of the section including the creation of forecasts, adherence to budget, and reporting on status
Knowledge and Skills- Proven ability to establish excellent working relationships with both internal and external contacts at all levels is key- Excellent organization, planning, time management and project management abilities- Proven ability to meet deadlines with grace under pressure- Proven leadership and managerial skills- Excellent knowledge of English - oral and written, necessary to provide effective instructions, technical advice, presentations and preparation of various types of reports pertinent to work performed- Strong client focus

Education and Experience- This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through a 4-year Bachelor's degree in a related field/or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related field- A period of over 8 years of IT technical management
