The Crew Lead is responsible for leading a team of technicians and labourers to carry out the duties provided by the Project Manager.

Technicians respond to various water, fire and mould related emergencies in residential homes and commercial properties.

Crew Leads are responsible for the mitigation of the property such as stabilizing, placing drying equipment, completing paperwork, moisture readings, before and after pictures, content cleaning, final cleans, and loading and unloading of equipment and supplies.

We are currently seeking an experienced Crew Lead.

Job Responsibilities and Duties include the following.

Other duties may be assigned**:

  • Lead a team to carry out the duties of the job as outlined by the Project Manager
  • Water Extraction
  • Respond to and initiate water mitigation in accordance with IICRC
  • Set up & monitoring of drying equipment
  • Monitoring and taking moisture readings
  • Uploading applicable documents and pictures to Encircle
  • Update job status to the Project Manager on a regular basis
  • Performing demolitions & light construction tasks
  • Cleaning up debris removal of drywall, cabinetry, and flooring
  • Setting up containment and decontaminating
  • Upholding all company policies and procedures and safety regulations
  • Assist with content documentation, pack in, pack out and content manipulation procedures
  • Specialty cleaning of all surfaces

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum 3year experience in the restoration industry.
  • Water Remediation Technician (WRT) IICRC certification required
  • Valid driver's license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience and clean abstract is mandatory
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work well in both team environments and independently
  • Must be able to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding work
  • Must be able and willing to participate in 24/7 oncall rotation including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent an asset
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Must be bondable, a criminal record check will be required upon date of hire
