We offer a series of leadership activities for international and university students, including in-school and online programs (JUMP Schools and JUMP Connected) and outdoor adventure programs (JUMP Experiences and JUMP Adventures).

We facilitate participants to develop personal, community, and inter-community leadership skills.


To help realize our vision of making transformational learning accessible to all, we allocate a proportion of our annual revenue to support experiential youth-focused development projects worldwide.

OUR VISION FOR THIS ROLE:


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and drive the expansion of revenue for JUMP Canada.

In this role, your primary focus will be increasing our B2B and B2C revenue and securing grants and CSR sponsorships.

You will be crucial in identifying and developing strategic partnerships, cultivating new business opportunities, and optimizing existing relationships to achieve our revenue goals.


ROLE RESPONSOBLITIES
The Business Development Manager will have competence and flexibility in a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Revenue generation: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to increase B2B revenue B2C revenue, and secure grants/CSR sponsorships in Canada.
  • Strategic partnership development: Identify potential B2B partnership opportunities by researching the market, industry trends, and competitor activities. Proactively engage potential partners, including corporations, organizations, and institutions, to establish strategic alliances.
  • Proposal development: Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling B2B proposals and presentations tailored to the specific needs of potential partners. Negotiate and close partnership agreements that drive revenue growth.
  • Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decisionmakers at partner organizations. Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring high satisfaction levels and ongoing engagement.
  • Revenue optimization: Continuously assess and optimize existing partnerships to maximize revenue generation. Identify upselling and crossselling opportunities within the current partner network.
  • Grants and CSR sponsorships: Research and identify potential grants and CSR sponsorship opportunities aligned with our mission and values. Develop compelling grant proposals and sponsorship packages to secure financial support.
  • Market intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and the competitive landscape relevant to our business. Provide regular reports and insights to inform business development strategies.

ROLE SCORECARD / KPIs

  • Revenue Growth: Successfully increase JUMP's revenue in Canada, specifically doubling the current revenue from $250K USD to $500K USD within the next 6 months.
  • New Business Partnerships: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key B2B stakeholders, doubling B2B partners that contribute to revenue generation.
  • Increased B2B Revenue from

Exisiting Partners:
Double the total annual revenue from existing B2B partners B2B.

  • Expanded B2C Revenue: Implement initiatives and strategies that lead to increased B2C revenue, such as targeted marketing campaigns, customer retention programs, and product/service enhancements.
  • Grants and CSR Sponsorships: Secure 2 new sources of additional financial support for the organization's initiatives through Grants or CSR to the value of $100K USD

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or partnership management, with a focus on revenue generation.
  • Strong understanding of B2B and B2C sales processes, including lead generation, prospecting, and closing deals.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and pursue revenue opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
