Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is seeking a values-based, and senior finance leader to become its next
Chief Financial Officer. As the largest Habitat affiliate of 48 in Canada, Habitat for Humanity GTA serves the City of Toronto, Region of Durham, Region of York, City of Brampton, and Town of Caledon. With the pending departure of the current Chief Financial Officer, retiring in June 2024 after close to 15 years of exemplary leadership, there now exists an opportunity for a new CFO to build on the organization's legacy. This is a rare opportunity for an innovative, purpose driven CFO to lead the Finance team of one of the most prominent and high-profile non-profit organizations in Canada.


Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer is a key member of the executive team and and a trusted advisor to the CEO on organizational strategy, decision-making, and organizational leadership.

The CFO is accountable for building, leading, coaching, developing and empowering a high-performing finance team, and in doing so, fostering an inclusive and thriving work environment.

The CFO will be empowered to drive break-through strategies and innovations that evolve Habitat GTA's i) homeownership model, ii) build models and ii) financing models to maximize impact and drive long-term sustainability.
