Job description of Production Line Operator
Urgently hiring
Experience:
- Follow and practice all GMP's, HACCP and SQF protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the packaging area
- Ensures all equipment is operating properly, takes appropriate actions to correct any issues.
- Monitors and documents downtime, quality, safety, and other issues in a timely manner.
- When needed, performs machine operator, labeling, packaging, and general labour tasks on the production line.
- Leads team members to meet targets and goals on product attainment; ensures all equipment runs at required speed per standards.
- Ensures product is being produced to required quality specifications, SQF and other food safety standards.
- Leads and contributes to the team and the whole facility in a positive way.
REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITY & EXPERIENCE
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to direct the work of others while maintaining composure in a fastpaced environment
- 1 to 2 years experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills, able to speak and read English
- Able to perform all tasks within the department including lifting to 30 or 40 lbs
- Able to stand and walk throughout the shift.
- Able to work weekends as required.
- Can work well in a team environment and support fellow team members
Availability:
Should be flexible and remain available for any shifts including weekdays as well as weekends
