YKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct and indirect support to people with an intellectual disability
  • Provide support and coaching in the areas of social skills, communication, vocation and leisure activities.
  • Assist participants with intellectual disabilities in outcomes related to personal goals.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, volunteers, professionals, community members and others.
  • Promote community inclusion, independence and selfdetermination for the participants supported.
  • Work collaboratively with their team, the people supported and their families to solve problems and resolve conflicts.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned by upper management.
  • Completion of Human Services Diploma from a recognized Community College or University
    or completion of Ontario Secondary School (or equivalent) and one year of related experience
  • Solid communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, creativity and sound judgment.
  • Must have the ability to physically support adults with disabilities.
  • A valid Driver's License, with a
    minimum G2 and a reliable vehicle will be considered an asset.
  • Be fully COVID19 vaccinated

Job Type:

Part-time hours: 14-18 per week

Salary:
$17.00-$17.50 per hour
