Position Summary


As a
Clerical Support I within our
Recruitment and Staff Support Department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties related to the uniform, cadet and auxiliary recruitment functions of the department.


Responsibilities

What will your typical day look like?

  • Assists with Prescreening applicant packages to assess and ensure minimum qualifications are met and documentation is complete; follows up to obtain missing documentation from applicants.
  • Processes successful applicants to Auxiliary. This includes preparing offer letters, updating applicant status in HRMS and creation of auxiliary corporate file.
  • Coordinates all Auxiliary uniform scheduling (QM Stores), tracking of equipment, completion of requisitions and return documents.
  • Assembles training documents and binders for incoming Auxiliary and Cadet recruit classes.
  • Assists with maintenance of the external internet pages for Recruitment and Staff Support, which includes updating calendar of events, changing or updating process information for applicants and adding notifications to web pages.
  • Ensures appropriate level of office supplies is maintained and arranges for service and maintenance of office equipment.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

You are someone with:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, plus additional office administration courses and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of one year related experience required
  • MS Word-Intermediate
  • MS Excel

  • MS Outlook
  • Welldeveloped keyboarding and data entry skills
  • Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources Management System (HRMS) preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a highly confidential and sensitive environment

What we offer
The hourly rate for this
temporary, full-time position is
$24.92 to $36.64.
