POSITION/QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree or diploma in Recreation/Leisure Studies or Gerontology is required. One to three
years' experience working with the elderly is preferred but not required. Must have
knowledge of the aging process, and its implications in a long term care setting relating to
social, physical, spiritual and emotional needs. Demonstrated leadership abilities, initiative
and innovative ability to create or adapt programs to meet the needs of the elderly are
required. Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are essential, as well
as the ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Must meet job
demands, physical and cognitive.

This position salary range is $26.24 to $28.00 as per the C.U.P.E. Collective Agreement.
