Agilus is recruiting for a Project Controls Analyst in the manufacturing industry in Edmonton, Alberta.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish project level analysis and monitoring of progress including budgets, forecasts, KPIs, risks and recovery.
  • Lead in the development of project reporting including schedule and cost tracking for project managers, external clients, and internal stakeholders as defined by business requirements.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project WBS and support activities to implement applicable coding.
  • Execute contract change management processes under the direction of project managers.
  • Collaborate with estimators and project managers to prepare and/or review project scope changes and incorporate approved changes into project controls systems.
  • Monitor commitments, incurred, and actual project costs.
  • Prepare project cost forecasting reports and conduct cost variance analyses.
  • Become a superuser of client's accounting system (Sage 300), Primavera P6, and timekeeping software (Manusonic) for data gathering and analysis.

Successful candidates will have:

  • 5+ years of related experience in Project Controls (cost management, scheduling, planning, and risk management), supporting project managers or project teams.
  • Experience in the energy industry, construction industry, and/or general contracting is required.
  • Experience using Primavera P6 for project scheduling is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other PMI designation would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of best practices in cost controls, project management and risk management.
  • Deep knowledge of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.
  • Strong data analysis and visualization skills. Experience using Power BI or other business intelligence software is preferred.
