Role Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Project Director in Edmonton, the Project Controls Engineer provides program management and cost controls support to large complex infrastructure programs
  • Monitors and tracks complex projects throughout the project lifecycle to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability of project execution
  • Works with consultants, contractors, project managers, and discipline leads to develop, analyze, assess, and report on overall program performance
  • Serves as the primary contact with the Finance Branch for budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow activities
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and continually enhancing process improvements within the department
  • Ensures compliance with national codes and department standards, policies, acts, and technical requirements

The role involves managing program management, cost controls, and providing support for large infrastructure projects with multi-disciplinary teams, large-scale contracts, and funding agreements. The Project Controls Engineer also plays a key role in influencing project outcomes, enhancing project execution, and driving innovative approaches for project delivery.
