What you will do:


The Ottawa Hospital has an exciting opportunity on our Talent Acquisition (TA) Team Members of our Talent Acquisition team work collaboratively in a fast-paced and versatile environment, recruiting top talent for The Ottawa Hospital.


Responsibilities include:

  • Prepares draft job postings for review and ensures that the information received with the posting request is accurate, consulting with hiring leader as required;
  • Reviews posting requirements to ensure alignment with current job description and consults with Compensation & Classification Team in the event of any discrepancy;
  • Coordinates the payment for and the posting of the position on any external sites, as required;
  • Prepares initial applicant list for TA Advisor to screen;
  • Performs initial review of external applicants to ensure suitability for hire;
  • Ensures that the nomination by hiring leader conforms to Collective Agreement requirements;
  • Facilitates new hire onboarding by collecting documentation related to preconditions of employment and keeps hiring leading informed of progress;
  • Prepares and sends out internal and external offers for select CUPE positions, and assists with offers for other union groups by drafting letters for TA Advisors
  • May assist with the scheduling of interviews and participate as the Human Resources representative on interview panels, as required.

What you will bring:

  • A college diploma in a discipline related to Human Resources (e.g. Business, Human Resources Management, Social Sciences, etc.)
  • Minimum one (1) year of related administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources, OR an equivalent combination of education and related experience;
  • General knowledge of Hospital policies, rules and regulations;
  • Knowledge of HR principles in Recruitment & Selection;
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel;
  • Strong client focus;
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fastpaced, high volume environment;
  • Ability to work independently and to be a team contributor;
  • Ability to work as part of a large, multifaceted team within a strong unionized context;
  • Solutionoriented and able to think critically;
  • Good organizational and time management skills;
  • Good analytical, judgment and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Excellent customer service skills.

You will stand out with:

  • Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
