The Opportunity - Talent Acquisition Advisor


The Talent Acquisition Advisor plays a collaborative role with all hiring Managers, Directors and Business Owners to identify current and future recruitment requirements and establish pipelines for key areas.

This includes continuously recognizing opportunities for improving operational efficiency, and making suggestions to improve procedures accordingly.


In addition, from time to time the Talent Acquisition Advisor collaborates with other members of the HR team to support a variety of HR projects and initiatives.


You will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Supports full-cycle recruitment and selection processes for a variety of roles within the organization including posting jobs in accordance with job requirements, screening applicants, coordinating and participating in interviews, completing reference checks and ensuring receipt of pre-hire documentation (criminal record checks, COVID vaccination proof, etc.), preparing and presenting job offers, and communicating effectively with hiring managers and internal stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Supports the development of assessment material (interview guides and other assessments) in consultation with the Talent Acquisition Officer.
  • Supports HR processes and program development related to the recruitment function, including hiring, onboarding, offboarding, and employer branding.
  • Provides project and administrative support, including using HRMS to enter new hire data, generate new hire reports, and maintain hiring requisitions tracking logs.
  • Coordinates highpriority deadlines simultaneously and prioritizes when scheduling conflicts arise.
  • Represents Carefor as a Brand Ambassador at career fairs, networking events, and other events.
  • Liaises and coordinates activities with external service providers (including employment agencies, social media platforms, associations, educational institutions, etc.)
  • Supports the coordination of corporate orientation activities and participates in the delivery of corporate orientation sessions.
  • Acts in accordance with Carefor's policies, values and mission, etc.
  • Promotes and models a culture of health, safety and wellness among peers
  • Other duties as required.
  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources or a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in a highvolume recruiting function (preferred) or equivalent experience in Human Resources administration.
  • Working knowledge of recruitment and staffing trends, best practices, and tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional client service orientation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to use discretion and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point and video conferencing tools.
Experience recruiting health care professionals is a strong asset.

  • Experience working in the health sector and/or nonprofit organization is considered an asset.
  • Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP), Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR), or other relevant designation is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems or other HR systems is considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
  • Intercultural competency training and unconscious bias training is considered an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Regular office environment with some flexibility for remote work
  • Travel to various Carefor locations may be required occasionally
