Qualifications

  • Essential:_
  • Post-secondary diploma in a legal, law enforcement or human services field (e.g., Social Service Worker) or equivalent combination of formal education, training and experience.
  • Knowledge gained through education, training and/or work experience of conflicts families may face when dealing with separation and divorce or parenting time issues.
  • Experience working in a professional capacity with families who have experienced or were exposed to Domestic Violence and/or intimate Partner Violence.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated effectiveness in preventing, de-escalating and managing aggressive behavious and in handling crisis situations appropriately and effectively.
  • Experience or training in conflict resolutions.
  • Understanding of child development.
  • Good communication skills (both written and oral). Able to communicate effectively with adults and children.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Preferred:_
  • Previous work experience in supervised parenting and exchange transfers.
  • Own transportation to travel to and from the workplace
  • Second language an asset.

$20.00-$22.00 per hour
