Amazon Canada's Home Entertainment team within the Entertainment Media org is seeking a self-driven Vendor Manager candidate to support our team and vendor partners. Vendor managers work directly with vendors to improve value, selection and convenience across their business. They play a critical role in managing strategic and established brands to drive profitability and topline performance for their category.

The ideal candidate would have the following skills:
· Strong oral and written communication
· Project and stakeholder management
· Proven ability to multi-task
· Quantitative analytics
· Detail Oriented
· Thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environment

The candidate will use customer obsession and analytics to inform creative solutions to drive their business. The Vendor Manager will have the opportunity to engage with multiple internal teams to optimize product line performance for key manufacturers (vendors) on They will utilize strong communication skills to collaborate with internal cross-functional partners, such as site merchandising, buying, pricing, inventory management, operations, online marketing, and finance to drive performance for our vendor partners.

This position provides the candidate an opportunity to execute analytical deeps dives that help inform category growth strategies and initiatives. In addition to gaining vendor management experience, this candidate will have exposure in driving category growth. Vendor Managers get the unique opportunity to work at the most innovative online retailer, while developing strong functional skills in online merchandising/marketing, buying, planning/forecasting, pricing, and business analytics.

Key job responsibilities
This role is responsible for managing a brand/vendor on and driving growth of the business. It includes inventory management, forecast generation, product launches, pricing, and conducting detailed analysis to identify opportunities to drive growth for the vendor and

Vendor Managers will also conceive, create and analyze a wide range of marketing campaigns to drive vendor growth, brand awareness, customer conversion and topline revenue on Marketing activities would include:
· Creating comprehensive marketing proposals
· Search engine optimization (SEO)
· Social media Campaigns
· Email campaign creation and analytics
· Creating and executing promotional strategies

Vendor Manager roles are in the General Management career path at Amazon. The general management career path offers the opportunity for advancement into a variety of roles including Marketing/Merchandising, Vendor Management, Product Management and Inventory Management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
- Knowledge of Excel and extracting data through varied reporting tools in order to drive and influence business decisions
- Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with pricing and selection strategy
- Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
