Specific Duties of the Role:

  • Monitor firm accounts for incoming funds, post funds accordingly and prepare disbursements via cheque, draft and wire payments as directed.
  • Effectively manage competing priorities, troubleshoot issues, and determine appropriate actions to be taken to ensure deals are closed in a timely manner.
  • Provide accurate and dependable service to lawyers, assistants and clerks related to the status of transactions.
  • Prepare daily deposits into trust and general accounts.
  • Record all pertinent real estate disbursements to correct accounts and ledgers.
  • Suggest process and financial systems improvements.
  • Provide supplementary administrative support at reception.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, other related fields or equivalent years of experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Able to field a high volume of questions and requests, providing reliable service within tight timelines.
  • Highly adaptable, able to task switch with ease and thrives in a highvolume environment.
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a collaborative group.
  • Committed to upholding firm values, including exceptional client service, community engagement and the advancement of diversity and inclusion.

Salary:
From $45,000.00 per year
