Position Detail:

We are looking for an experienced Bilingual People & Payroll Coordinator to join our team. This position can be fully remote or hybrid.


Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture, the People & Payroll Coordinator will assume responsibility for executing precise payroll procedures for the Canadian Operations in Ontario and Quebec.

Collaborating closely with the HR team, the People & Payroll Coordinator will play a key role in supporting diverse HR initiatives, encompassing benefits, recruitment, employee engagement, and other leadership-driven HR programs.


Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Payroll Administration:

  • Manage the processing of biweekly payroll for employees in Quebec and Ontario, along with a semimonthly payroll for Ontario;
  • Ensure accurate computation and timely distribution of salaries, bonuses, and other compensation elements;
  • Oversee Group RRSP remittances, as well as monthly remittances for local taxes, health insurance, union dues, etc;
  • Oversee the yearend process, including the creation of T4's, auditing and reconciliations;
  • Stay current with payroll and benefits legislation changes in Quebec and Ontario;
  • Ensure compliance with provincial regulations and company policies;
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, audit requests, responding to and compiling information through reports, timecards, employee data, and tax reports;
  • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory authorities;

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including, but not limited to health insurance and Group RRSP plans;
  • Assist employees with benefitrelated inquiries and enrollment;
  • Collaborate with external benefit providers to address issues and optimize plans;

Recruitment:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including translation of job postings and resumes and screening, and coordinating interviews;
  • Support hiring managers in the interview and selection process.
  • Translate job offers and assist with the onboarding process for new hires;

Employee Engagement:

  • Act as a liaison between Englishspeaking and Frenchspeaking employees;
  • Provide bilingual support for HRrelated communications, ensuring effective and clear messaging;
  • Complies with all Corporate policies and procedures;
  • Carries out other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications / Skills

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French (written and spoken), required;
  • Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration;
  • Strong understanding of Quebec and Ontario labour laws and regulations;
  • Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and payroll software;
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Proven ability to adhere to
