The Human Resources Administrator is an integral member of the HR team, ensuring HR programs and processes are administered appropriately and confidentially, while providing exceptional customer service to employees and leaders.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining confidential records, preparing reports, and supporting processes related to recruiting, hiring, leaves and departures, all while leveraging our own Payworks Workforce Management Solution.

ENHANCE THE EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE - IT'S WHAT YOU'LL DO:


  • Manage processes
  • You will organize and maintain employee records, process employee changes, and update previous employee data in internal HR databases. Working closely with the payroll department, you will providing them with up-to-date information, including sick leaves, leaves of absence, overtime hours, work schedules, name changes, marital status, dependent updates and more. You will also be key in ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures through monitoring and implementing applicable organizational requirements. This includes maintaining compliance with internal controls (SOC 1 & 2). You will set up all new employees, ensuring forms are completed and submitted in a timely fashion to facilitate an accurate first pay. You will also focus on employee benefits enrollment as well as ensuring work permits are kept up to date.

Build relationships
  • Acting as the first point of contact for general employee inquiries about people or HR related issues, you will promptly answer questions and help resolve internally. This includes monitoring the HR shared inbox and responding to general inquires from employees.

Stay up to date
  • Review, revise, and update HR documents and company policies, such as the Employee Handbook, new hire guides, employment letters, perks and benefits and upload them on to internal communications forums to ensure information is up to date. You will also create regular presentations and reports from Payworks system to support the HR department, audit and the business. This may include reporting to crossreference head counts, job titles and reporting structures and compensationrelated reports for fiscal yearend processes. Working closely with the Human Resource Business Partners, you will efficiently support the HR team on completing administrative tasks, ensure thorough processing of paperwork, support with drafting internal communications and work on other tasks, as assigned.

You will assist the Learning and Development and Talent Acquisition teams, as well as other HR staff, participating in various activities such as recruitment and the onboarding of new hires.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or equivalent education and experience.
  • High level of confidentiality and critical thinking skills.
  • Organized, with strict attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with administrating HRIS technology; experience with Payworks systems would be considered an asset.
  • Enthusiastic approach to taking on new opportunities and challenges.
  • A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value and drive the business.
  • A proven track record of fostering and developing effective working relationships with internal clients and colleagues.
  • Being knowledgeable in employment legislation would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office; Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and an interest in data analysis.
