Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse (CCASA) is a dynamic agency that focuses on providing sexual violence counselling and education services to Calgary and surrounding areas. The Integrated Case Managers will be part of the Crisis & Support team. The successful candidates will be compassionate, dynamic, and flexible individuals who are able to work both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team to provide specialized case management.

These are full-time (35 hours/week) contract positions for a 1 year pilot program, with the possibility of extension, reporting to the Assistant Director of Clinical Services. Key Responsibilities of the Integrated Case Manager:

  • Conducting thorough needs assessments to identify client risks, strengths, and goals
  • Developing individualized case plans in collaboration with clients
  • Assisting with barriers and concerns identified through the assessment process to ensure access to needed referrals and resources
  • Working collaboratively with external services/supports to address barriers to clients accessing services and providing advocacy on behalf of clients as needed
  • Conducting ongoing evaluation of case plan progress and adapting to changing needs and goals as necessary
  • Delivering psychoeducation to enhance clients' understanding of sexual violence, the impact of trauma, and coping strategies
  • Supporting clients in developing emotional regulation and coping skills
  • Exploring counselling readiness for clients interested in clinical counselling
  • Supporting client transition out of the Integrated Case Management program to other programs/services, both internal and external
  • Completing required documentation in a timely manner, including client records
  • Collecting, analyzing, and reporting program specific data for evaluation purposes

*Successful candidates will be required to work occasional evenings and weekends and may need to provide services to rural areas surrounding Calgary. Access to a reliable vehicle is necessary.

The successful applicants will have the following qualifications :

  • An undergraduate degree in social work or human services; registration with a regulating body is an asset
  • Minimum three years direct service in social work or human services
  • Experience in conducting assessments (needs assessments, risk assessments)
  • Strong understanding of sexual violence trauma and its impact; experience working in sexual violence service delivery would be an asset
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills with clients and other services providers
  • Strong crisis intervention skills
  • Knowledge of community resources and supports within Calgary and surrounding areas
  • Understanding of systemic barriers and discrimination
  • Strong critical thinking, creative problem-solving, conflict resolution skills and an ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to maintain strong professional boundaries
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work tasks and deadlines
  • Experience in piloting new programs and a strong working knowledge of data collection are assets.
