Job Title: Program Portfolio Lead

Our client is looking for a Program Portfolio Lead to support the management and growth of Delegated Underwriting Authorities (DUA). This role is vital for quality control, analysis, portfolio underwriting, risk management, and business development.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, results-oriented, adaptable, collaborative, and excels in dynamic environments. They should have extensive experience in underwriting various commercial segments and products, particularly in DUA lifecycle management. This includes tasks like due diligence, contract and process development, onboarding, monitoring, optimizing, and exit strategies. The candidate must be skilled in analyzing large datasets, have strong communication abilities, and build valuable relationships with distribution partners.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Engaging with program partners to build positive relationships and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Developing and managing processes for quality control and compliance.
  • Conducting program audits, extracting insights, and providing recommendations.
  • Utilizing portfolio data for underwriting decisions and risk management.
  • Reviewing risks outside DUA authorities and monitoring program claims.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • At least 3 years in Program Underwriting and Portfolio management.
  • Minimum 5 years in commercial underwriting (Property Casualty).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel.
  • Broker relationship management, negotiation skills, and portfolio oversight.
  • CIP designation or working towards it.
  • Professionalism, integrity, accountability, and reliability.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred:
  • Post-Secondary Education.
  • Established relationships with national brokers and MGAs.
  • Experience with specialized insurance products.
