What you'll do:The Finance controller will be a key leader within the Finance Department responsible for:

  • Assisting the Finance Manager with credit management, inventories, internal audits, year-end file creation, and other special projects as required.
  • Maintaining awareness of financial trends, best practices and impacts to the Coop and its respective commodities.
  • Collaborating as needed with FCL and other Local Coops to build upon programs and strategies across the CRS.
  • Overseeing period end financial statements, communicate with File Maintenance staff on proper periodend procedures, and providing insightful analytical assessment of periodend results to commodity managers.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of vendor payable files, AR payment files, and payments.
  • Overseeing and maintaining the GL code structure (adding / deleting as required).
  • Maintaining a deep understanding of current accounting principles and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Ensuring claims, invoices, tax filings and other regulatory filings, and all other paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You will work closely with the Finance Manager, Office Manager, Administration Office and will have 4-5 direct reports. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, integrity, and joy.

The Collaborators:

You will work closely with other functions in our Administration Department and collaborate across the organization with teams such as Petroleum, Home & Agro, Rolla Ag, and Grocery.


The Customers:
You will demonstrate customer focus while supporting accounts receivable, credit management, and higher-level financial inquiries.
