**Position**:Accounting Technician

**Reports to**:Controller

**Location**: Various

**Job Brief**:
The Accounting Technician is responsible for supporting the Controller in maintaining daily cash transactions and ensuring the credibility of financial data.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Performs reconciliation of weekly and monthly cash accounts and payable and receivable accounts.
- Investigates of discrepancies in reconciliations, regularly communicates with payable and receivable departments.
- Completes necessary journal entries and postings pertaining to reconciliations.
- Supports the finance department with balance sheet reconciliations.
- Supports the finance department with general administrative duties (i.e., filing, running reports, etc.) and completes general projects as required.
- Administers company credit cards.
- Participates/complies with company safety program by attending and participating in monthly safety meeting.
- Other duties as required.

**Required Skills/Qualifications**:

- Accounting certificate or diploma in business administration or related discipline. Experience in similar role is an asset.
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office and enterprise resource planning (ERP) or related software.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Strong math and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and prioritize based on deadlines.
- Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Familiarity with oil and gas service industry is an asset.
- Other duties as required.
