About the University of Toronto Libraries

The University of Toronto Libraries system is the largest academic library in Canada and is consistently ranked in the top ten among academic research libraries in North America. The system consists of 40 libraries located on three university campuses: St. George, Mississauga, and Scarborough. This array of college libraries, special collections, and specialized libraries and information centres supports the teaching and research requirements of over 300 graduate programs, more than 70 professional programs, and about 700 undergraduate degree programs. In addition to more than 12 million volumes in 341 languages, the library system currently provides access to millions of electronic resources in various forms and over 31,000 linear metres of archival material. More than 150,000 new print volumes are acquired each year. The Libraries' data centre houses more than 600 servers with a storage capacity of 1.5 petabytes.

About the Centre for Criminology and Sociolegal Studies:

The Centre for Criminology and Sociolegal Studies (CrimSL) is a research and teaching unit at the University of Toronto focused on the study of local, regional, national and international studies of crime, its management and its imbrications within social inequality. Its faculty, students, and researchers seek to understand the relationship between crime, social order, science & technology, policing, law and law enforcement, as well as the various processes through which justice and injustice take shape in daily life. Its library collection reflects the unit's multi-disiciplinary orientation within both criminology and sociolegal studies.

About the Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources:

Since 1965, the Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources (CIRHR) has brought together professors from many different disciplines and departments at the University of Toronto to teach and conduct research on all aspects of the workplace and employment relationships. CIRHR is home to hundreds of students across our undergraduate, professional Masters, and doctoral degree programs. The CIRHR faculty, staff and students reflect the depth, breadth, and diversity of our university. The CIRHR is located in a historic home with administrative and faculty offices, an on-site Library, student computer facilities, study space and a classroom. The CIRHR has its own library collection and staff, which serve as valuable resources for our students and faculty, as well as the broader community of industrial relations and human resources professionals in Canada and around the world.
