We are seeking a visionary and experienced Head of Quantum Computing Initiatives to join our team. This position will be based in Vancouver, Canada and will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of quantum computing initiatives within the organization.

As the Head of Quantum Computing Initiatives, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential applications of quantum computing and develop strategies to leverage this emerging technology. You will lead a team of quantum computing experts to design and implement quantum computing solutions that address business challenges, drive innovation, and create a competitive advantage.

Your role will involve staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in quantum computing, building partnerships with relevant organizations, and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of quantum computing projects. You will also be responsible for managing budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure the successful delivery of quantum computing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of quantum computing initiatives within the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential applications of quantum computing.
  • Build partnerships and collaborate with external organizations to leverage quantum computing expertise and technologies.
  • Manage a team of quantum computing experts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in quantum computing and industry trends.
  • Develop strategies and roadmaps for the adoption of quantum computing solutions.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of quantum computing projects, including scoping, planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Ensure the successful integration and adoption of quantum computing solutions within the organization.
  • Monitor and evaluate quantum computing projects, tracking performance and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure the successful delivery of quantum computing initiatives.
  • Represent the organization in quantum computing-related events, conferences, and industry forums.
  • Proven experience in leading and implementing quantum computing initiatives within an organization.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of quantum computing concepts and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute quantum computing strategies in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
  • Experience managing and leading teams of quantum computing experts.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align quantum computing initiatives with business objectives.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
  • Experience in managing quantum computing projects, including scoping, planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • Preferred location: Vancouver, Canada.
