SUMMARY

About the Role - Writer's Room Server


A Server coordinates the entire service station and communicates with the front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations.

The server functionally reports to the Lounge Manager.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Greets guests and presents them with the menu
  • Informs guests of specials and menu changes and answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies
  • Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system
  • Communicate with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations.
  • Presents open and pours wine and beer when serving guests
  • Assists table support team with stocking workstations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware
  • Assists with the cash register at counterservice restaurants
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:

  • Service focused personality is essential
  • Previous fine dining or luxury level service knowledge and training.
  • Minimum 2 year previous work experience in a worldclass luxury brand in a similar capacity.
  • Current Smart Serve certification.
  • Must have a flexible schedule, be highly motivated and qualitydriven
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Constant walking & standing
  • Frequent lifting, crouching/bending/stooping/kneeling
