Manager, CybersecurityAlberta Innovates (AI) is looking for a Manager, Cybersecurity, to lead cybersecurity services for Alberta Innovates, InnoTech Alberta, and C-FER Technologies. This hands-on role involves overseeing the Cybersecurity team to enhance security measures through new technologies, policies, and training programs. The primary goal is to ensure secure and efficient business operations.Are you ready to take on the role of Manager, Cybersecurity? You might be the perfect fit if you:
  • Have a strong background in cybersecurity, including network security, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
  • Can lead cybersecurity teams and provide guidance on risk management and compliance.
  • Experience with cloud security and Identity Access Management.
  • Work with IT Managed Service Providers and Security Service Providers.

Key responsibilities include threat analysis, identity management, security tool oversight, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and talent development.Educational Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in computer science or relevant field.
  • ITIL Framework certification is beneficial.
  • Cybersecurity certifications like CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • 8+ years in information security and IT infrastructure.
  • Leadership experience in IT environments.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies and IT architecture.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft environments.
  • Ability to collaborate with business leaders on strategic planning.
Required Skills:
  • Strong sense of urgency and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning and time management abilities.
  • Effective in bridging IT and business requirements.
