Job Description:


This position works closely with leadership to ensure the accurate statement of inventory and to provide other value-added analysis and reporting.

Provides inventory analysis to support Operations and Finance with inventory decisions associated with valuation and obsolescence. Performs analysis of production costs. Supports the budget and forecast process.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepares inventory obsolescence and inventory cost revaluation provisions.
  • Identifies significant inventory risks, presents to operational leadership, and partners with operational teams to minimize potential exposure.
  • Prepares consolidated cost of sales CFO presentation and provides explanation of variances versus forecast and prior year.
  • Prepares inventory reconciliations from Microsoft Dynamics 365 to 3PL records.
  • Isolates root cause of inventory discrepancies and partners with crossfunctional teams to resolve business process issues.
  • Oversees preparation of reports and detailed review of standard costs at year end for raw materials, labour and manufactured goods.
  • Compares standard costs to actual costs and updates costing in alignment with company policy.
  • Oversees Finance inventory count procedures as control owner of management test count and count review procedures.
  • Supports finance partners in process documentation identifying gaps, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvements.
  • Prepares intercompany profit provisions and supporting reports.
  • Works closely with Operations and Finance teams to build complete budget and forecast.
  • Understands and analyzes major cost drivers in the business.
  • Creates and maintains financial models.
  • Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entries, and reportingrelated deliverables in accordance with month end deadlines.
  • Supports project implementations with thorough knowledge of Operations Finance requirements.
  • Works closely with auditors and provides schedules and evidence as required for internal and external audit.

Let's Talk About You:

  • 3+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in an Operations Finance role
  • University degree in Business or Finance
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Experience working in publicly traded companies
  • Wellversed in ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics D365 preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Crossdepartmental experience with the ability to develop strong business relationships.
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning to identify underlying reasons or facts.
  • Ability to extract, manipulate and analyze data from multiple systems or sources.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines with accurate results.
