Job Summary
Credit Derivative Client Clearing is a strategic initiative for the Futures business within RBC Capital Markets LLC.


As part of that we are seeking a Credit Derivatives Clearing Associate with a passion for financial markets and a drive to make an immediate impact on a newly developing capability for the firm.

In this role you work alongside the Futures business in a support capacity and will:

  • Have day-to-day focus on support of complex transactions in Credit Derivative trading, where proficiency is required to interpret economics, guidelines and processes.
  • Work alongside and learn from the business with years of industry expertise
  • Gain an overall understanding of market trends in the credit space and leading factors for credit index, index options, and single name CDS
  • Enhance trades, monitor exceptions, and scrutinize all positions to ensure they are booked accurately / flow downstream as expected
  • Help develop finetuned procedures to recognize potential risk areas and prevent trade or operational errors
  • Maintain client relationships and be a trusted source for trade and technical related issue resolution
  • Act as main liaison between Front Office, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Reporting, Technology, Settlements and other Operations Teams teams to resolve any trade booking and settlement issues
  • Support project initiatives to expand the Credit Default Swap product offering through robust requirements gathering and support of UAT cycles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong background in Credit Derivatives with a proven proficiency for the product
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • Displays clear and concise communications skills
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and technical skills
  • Aptitude to develop relationships cooperatively with all levels of the team
