We're looking for our next Supervisor, Options Clearing, Trade Operations. Could It Be You?

The purpose of Supervisor is to plan and monitor the daily activities within the departments while ensuring minimum service levels are consistently achieved.

The position requires individuals to work collaboratively and foster productive and positive relationships for the benefit of Questrade's clients and overall business operations.

Supervisor for Options Clearing will work collaboratively with relevant parties internally and externally to ensure mínimal disruption to the business.

The position requires individuals to actively participate in the daily process and will act as a key contact for escalations.

  • Manage operational tasks for Options including the oversight of third parties processing work
  • Review Trades,trade allocations and cash reconciliation controls across all internal and external accounts and systems
  • Actively participates in option life cycle management including real time expiration for OCC & CDCC
  • Ensure all transactions are acted upon as per deadline while maintaining high level of accuracy and exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholder
  • Liaise with relevant departments and Management to ensure objectives are met
  • Constantly monitor and review existing processes and seek to identify ways to improve performance and efficiency
  • Champions a culture of continuous operational improvement by independently resolving highly complex, multifaceted problems to meet the business needs
  • Support the growth of the team and any special projects, including planning for staffing and work flow allocation
  • Lead and manage special projects assigned, research and propose solutions to build more efficient new system/processes, collaborate with project manager and business analysts to create requirements
  • Lead system testings, create test scenarios and oversee test case executions
  • Assist with internal and external audit inquiries
  • Be an integral part of brainstorming, designing, testing and implementing process and procedures
  • Schedule and conduct team meetings, communicate strategic objectives to team
  • Keep current on Questrade products, services, programs, policies and procedures
  • Additional work hours in early mornings or on the weekends may be required
  • Coach and support team members with a focus on their career development
  • Backup and support other team leaders within Trade Operations
  • Other duties as assigned
So are YOU our next Supervisor, Options Clearing, Trade Operations? You are if you have

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in Options clearing, settlement, or back office operation including 2 years of people management
  • Postsecondary degree/diploma in Finance or related field
  • Strong knowledge of Derivative products, trade lifecycle and settlement process
  • Excellent Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills must be experienced in building and maintaining solid working relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fastpaced dynamic environment
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to navigate Google Suite
  • Flexibility and an ability to manage adhoc requests
  • Experience of using BPS, Arrow, CDCC & OCC considered as an asset
  • Completed CSI courses including CSC and DFOL
