Summary

As the landscaper you will be in charge of the up keep of the 14-acre park ground at Centreville Amusement Park and our other businesses on the island.

This is a full-time seasonal position for someone looking to work in a unique environment on the Toronto Island. You will be required to ensure grass, weeds and plants are maintained with ride enclosures and around the park. Leaf blowing, planting and maintain of flowers around the park. You will have limited supervision, which will require the person to have experience and the ability to work independently.

William Beasley Enterprises Limited provides a uniform and ferry card, which will allow you to get to and from the island.

The position is Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Job Duties

  • Ensure all grass inside ride enclosures and around the amusement park is maintained on a daily basis either by using Weed Wacker, or lawn mower
  • Shrub and weed maintenance around the amusement park
  • Assist with the planting and maintaining of flowers in the park and other locations
  • Removal of leaves and other debris around the park.
  • Daily maintenance around the amusement park
  • Other duties will be assigned

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year experience in ground maintenance
  • Experience using lawn mower, leaf blower, rid on or pusher mower. Or any other tools related to ground maintenance
  • Basic flower knowledge
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines and in a face paced environment
  • Able to follow specific directions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work outside during summer heat

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal

Contract length: 5 months

Salary:
$16.00-$18.00 per hour

  • Monday to Friday
