Landscape Gardener

Northern Grounds operates out of south Toronto (Liberty Village area). We provide landscaping and garden maintenance to condos / town homes in the surrounding areas. We are looking for 2 full time employees to carry out side job duties for these condos.

Garden maintenance will be a small portion of this job duty days per week ) Mostly side jobs as described will be the job.

Experience with, fence building, soft scape ( mulching, sodding, tree pruning, soil grading, planting flowers, interlocking, use of armor stone for building walls, along with other landscape jobs.

Job Description:
Pay $23-27hr

  • To have at least 3 years experience in the landscape field
  • The ability to work independently, and or with another crew member
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Experience with basic tools such as drills, nail guns, cut saw, levels, are an asset.

Must have:
- must be able to work well with others
  • Must have at least 2 plus years in the field
  • Must be capable of lifting pounds worth of garden material at any time
  • Must be able to work 7am 5pm Monday to Friday with Weekends off

How we support our staff:

  • All employees are equipped with proper PPE ( Safety glasses, work boots and a full uniform )
  • All staff are fully covered through WSIB Insurance
- $100 gift card will be given to Marks for a pair of boots

Salary:
From $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Toronto, ON M6K 0A3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- landscaping: 2 years (required)

Language:

  • English (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • G licience (preferred)
