- The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run. It is the largest single-day, volunteer-led event in Canada in support of the breast cancer cause.- This year's event will be taking place on Sunday, October 1, 2023.**POSITION**

**the Cure Event Day Volunteers** are an important part of the success of this event. Whether you will be helping with site set up/tear down, greeting and directing participants, photography or tallying donations, there is a volunteer position for you- As an
- **Event Day Volunteer**, you will be responsible for:- Attend a location during your agreed shift
- Variety of duties/tasks that could include:- Greet and engage participants during registration and activities-
- General accounting
- Set up/tear down of tents, tables/chairs, banners
- Route Marshall - directing participants for the 1km and 5km routes**YOUR COMMITMENT**- Availability on event day - Sunday, October 1 (once registered, someone from the event committee will be in contact to confirm shift and role)-
- Shift commitment between 2-6 hours- We welcome people of all backgrounds, _

- and interests. Some roles require you to be at least 19 years of age and may require heavy lifting due to the scope of the role and responsibilities._

- **bénévoles jour J**. Que vous souhaitiez participer au montage et au démontage du site, à l'accueil et à l'orientation des participants, à la photographie ou au décompte des dons, il y a un poste de bénévole pour vous - En tant que
- **bénévoles jour J**, vous serez responsable de ce qui suit:- Superviser une partie du site durant un quart de travail convenu.
- Voici certaines des tâches ou responsabilités qui pourraient vous être attitrées :- accueillir les participants et les participantes, et échanger avec eux durant les inscriptions et les activités;
- des tâches de comptabilité
- installer et désinstaller des tentes, tables, chaises ou banderoles;
- Guide sur le parcours - diriger les participants pour les itinéraires de 1 et 5 km

**VOTRE ENGAGEMENT**- Disponibilité le jour de l'événement - dimanche 1er octobre (une fois inscrit, un membre du comité de l'événement prendra contact avec vous pour confirmer votre poste et votre rôle).
- Quart de travail d'une durée de 2 à 6 heures.- Des personnes de tous les horizons aux capacités et intérêts variés sont les bienvenues.
