The Opportunity


Are you a mature Christian leader who models Christ in word and deed? Are you passionate about caring pastorally for vulnerable and marginalized women in the DTES? Do you have strong teamwork and leadership skills to supervise and train a staff team, as well as coordinate scheduling? If so, this position might be of great interest to you.


You will use your strong interpersonal and administrative skills to oversee specific Women & Families Centre operations, including the reception, open daily 7am - 11pm, and outreach supervision on afternoon/evening and weekend shifts, as well as on-call supervision on a rotating basis.

You will be an important leader and role model—not just for the staff team—but also for guests, residents, and tenants of the facility, building strong relationship and caring for them spiritually as well.

If you have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ, 3-4 years of related work experience, including supervisory experience, a degree in Social Services or Christian Studies, and a class 5 driver's license this could be a great fit

You will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.

This is a
permanent,
full-time position. The schedule for this position is
Tuesday 11am-7pm, Wednesday 9am-5pm, Thursday 1pm-9pm, and Friday 1pm-9pm, and Saturday 11am-7pm. For a copy of the full job description, click here.
