The Role
We're looking for Cloud Systems Administrator to join our IT Team.

In this role, you will be part of a small, but mighty, agile team of senior experts responsible for the integration and operation of a Public and Private Cloud Infrastructure.

The work of this Team helps to ensure the integrity, efficiency, and excellence of our IT systems so our people can effortlessly leverage technology to do their work and do it well.


This position is a 20-month contract and can be performed from our office in London, Ontario or remotely within Canada.

Remote-based employees may occasionally be asked to travel to our office for meetings or team building events.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all modernization, migration and upgrade projects related to Oracle Cloud platforms and SaaS based solutions;
  • Implement Oracle Cloud security controls, ensure data safeguards are in place, review and analyze environments for vulnerabilities, and conduct audits for compliance;
  • Participate in technical implementation of large and complex Oracle Cloud and Azure transformation;
  • Managing migration projects from A-Z including setup meetings with our clients to ensure clear and defined execution migration plan of our product to cloud is established;
  • Develop, implement, support and document migrations and automation to increase the efficiency of our SaaS platform management;
  • Proactively identify performance issues through the tenant using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) monitoring and alerting tools;
  • Be available for oncall support;
  • Be available for changes outside regular working hours;
  • Document the various activities and procedures according to established standards;
  • Implement the best cloud computing practices with the best associated cost savings;
  • Assist in accelerating cloud adoption with our clients, as well as various Infrastructure services used in the Company;
  • Building templates for provisioning resources on the cloud using terraform or other tools; and
  • Train clients and internal users as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • More than two years of experience with Oracle Cloud solutions, including OCI Migrations, Instances, Compartments, VCNs, Block Volumes, backup and recovery, and others;
  • A university degree or college diploma in computer science/engineering, networking or information systems;
  • OCI certification(s) required;
  • Knowledge of Automation, such as Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python, OCI CLI;
  • Multiplatform knowledge (RHEL, CentOS, Windows, etc.);
  • Knowledge of Docker, Apache Web Server, SSL, Bash;
  • Experience in infrastructure automation with CI/CD framework and DevOps best practices;
  • Experience with Network and storage architecture;
  • Experience in a hybrid cloud environment and the IaaS and PaaS components of public clouds; and
  • Strong customer service skills, as well as good planning and organization of work.

Nice To Have

  • Experience with Active Directory infrastructure
  • AD replication/DNS troubleshooting, event log monitoring, OU maintenance of domain controllers, LDAP, DNS/DHCP of servers;
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes; and
  • Experience working with additional virtualization technologies and public clouds such as VMware, Azure and AWS.
