About the Internship Opportunity with Venture Success

The Venture Success Team is seeking an Intern to support the operations and deployment of advisory, workshops, sprints, peer to peers for the Series A Fundraising and the Growth Accelerator programs.

The intern will provide logístical, administrative and program development support. This includes program management, venture communication, event planning and execution, and data entry.

They will also work closely with the Client Engagement Manager in the execution and the planning of the event series for the two programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Salesforce data hygiene and update of dashboards; explore integration opportunities with pitchbook, airtable, etc. for better insights.
  • Support startup and scaleup recruitment and onboarding efforts by coordinating meetings, conducting company research using databases, secondary research methods, and salesforce.
  • Support the Client Engagement Manager with the planning and execution of Spring/Summer/Fall peer groups and events.
  • Support Program Director in the creation of new program sprints & workshops including the design of templates, toolkits, and marketing material.
  • Create process documentation and provide recommendations on process improvements.
  • Support meeting logistics between ventures and the internal MaRS Advisory team including scheduling, logging meeting notes, and sharing insights from the meetings back to the Program Team.

What You Bring:

  • Required Skills & Experience_
  • Currently enrolled in Undergraduate or Graduate studies program; or have recently graduated from an undergrad program.
  • Strong communication skills oral, written and presentation skills
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong data management skills
  • Selfmotivated able to work independently or as a team member
  • Demonstrated proficiency in microsoft excel, google sheets, power point
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • A selfstarter who is passionate about learning and growing in their career
  • Great to have (but not required)_
  • Prior experience in Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • Experience working with ventures or in fastpaced environments an asset
