Job Description:
This position is responsible for:
- Answering client's requests on phone or in person, entering client and sample
- Information into LIMS, preparing supplies and bottles requests for clients, and ensuring that projects are processed quickly and delivered on time to operations.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receiving samples from clients at the counter directly or by courier delivery
- Sorting the samples and making note of any deficiencies
- Discussing the project with the client to ensure clarity of the requirements, if necessary
- Using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to login the samples and generate labels
- Preparing bottles for client pickup or shipping
Note this is a Scientific admin role and no analytical testing is carried out.
Qualifications:
- Good communication skills, work effectively and efficiently
- Knowledge of environmental samples considered an asset
- Selfstarter, ambitious and energetic
- Laboratory experience considered an asset
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent telephone and people skills
37.5 hours per week
**Starting at 00:00 (midnight) finishing at 08:00
