Your role
As a seasoned Business Developer, your main goal is to actively expand and enhance current and potential business opportunities in North America. You possess a deep understanding of the sales process, excel at generating leads, nurturing relationships, and sealing deals. You have a genuine passion for the products you represent - custom sealing solutions - and are dedicated to supporting your clients' projects. This position directly reports to the President.

Responsibilities

  • Sales - Develop and execute tactical and strategic sales strategies to grow existing client base and acquire new clients.
  • Networking - Utilize contacts and networks to connect with new prospects, start conversations to assess their needs, and propose Vicone's solutions. Actively participate in tradeshows, networking events, and industry engagements to represent the company.
  • Leadership - Demonstrate a personal leadership style that motivates the team and ensures successful execution within tight deadlines.
  • Planning and Organization - Effectively prioritize and plan work activities, making the most of your time.
  • Communication - Choose appropriate communication methods, articulating ideas clearly, concisely, and professionally. Demonstrate active listening, accept feedback constructively, and keep team members well-informed. Stay composed and professional under pressure. Engage in social media interactions with the target audience.

Profile

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in consultative selling/business development, specifically in custom manufactured products.
  • A strong drive to achieve a target income of 150K+ (Base and variable components).
  • Proven experience in closing deals averaging over $100k and skilled in negotiation.
  • Self-motivated with excellent adaptability.
  • Strong consultative selling approach targeted at engaging new prospects and customers.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
  • Monitor sales KPIs to meet set objectives.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience with architectural glass/building envelope engineers, Mass transit manufacturers, medical equipment, OEMs, designers, and executives is a plus.
  • Problem-solving capabilities, effective listening skills, and industry-specific experience are advantageous.
  • Comfortable working in a small, high-growth company.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and CRM.
