Accountability:


The Manager, Project Management is responsible for leading the team of Project Managers, Project Leaders & Project Specialists dedicated to its specific SBU.

He/she is accountable for the (1) overall planning and execution of the full order portfolio (projects/non-project orders), and (2) overall sales administration activities.

He reports to the SBU EVP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine the project management level of new orders
  • Assign new orders to Project Leaders or Account Administrators
  • Ensure that all project orders are managed with rigour & discipline (development of master plan, continuous uptodate project visibility, issues/risk management, scope change management) by using the Automated WBS tool & the Project Visibility tool: the Manager is ultimately accountable for his team's performance (KPIs)
  • Support the team in the governance/escalation process & manage/expedite the customers when required
  • Ensure that best & standardized practices are applied for sales administration activities
  • Support & contribute significantly to the development & deployment of the Valve Project Management (VPM) Initiative
  • Meet On-Time Deliveries (OTD) & Average Days Late (ADL) targets for its order portfolio
  • Develop & coach the team to its full potential

Education:

University degree in operations or engineering

Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience including 5 in project management or equivalent.

Knowledge:
